Support
Help with the Unrotted iPhone app, unrotted.com and the Chrome extension.

Email support@unrotted.com. A person reads every message, usually within two working days. If something went wrong, tell us which device and browser you were using and what you saw.
Getting started
- On a computer (Chrome, Edge, Brave or Arc). Sign in at unrotted.com, add the Unrotted extension, then open youtube.com/feed/history and click “Capture watch history” on the Unrotted card. Unrotted opens and imports it.
- On iPhone. In the Unrotted app, follow “Capture from Safari”: turn on the Unrotted Safari extension, open your YouTube history in Safari and tap Capture.
- From Google Takeout. Export your YouTube history from Google Takeout and upload the archive in the app.
Your quality score appears a minute or two after an import.
How the score works
Unrotted rates each channel you watch on five levels: Teaches, Enriching, Just fun, Filler and Brain rot. Your score is the share of your watch time weighted by those levels, so an hour of a channel that teaches counts for more than an hour of filler. New channels are rated shortly after they first appear; until then they’re shown as not rated yet and left out of the score.
Troubleshooting
- The Unrotted card doesn’t appear on YouTube. Make sure you’re signed in to YouTube and on the watch history page itself, then reload it. On iPhone, check that the extension is allowed on youtube.com in Settings › Apps › Safari › Extensions.
- unrotted.com/import asks you to add the extension when it’s already installed. Check the extension is enabled in your browser’s extensions page, then reload the import page.
- “Nothing waiting to import.” Capture your history on YouTube first; the import page only picks up captures that haven’t been imported yet.
- Some days are missing. Unrotted reads what your YouTube history shows. If history was paused or entries were deleted, they aren’t there to read.
- A channel’s rating looks wrong. Email us the channel’s name and the level you’d expect. Ratings get reviewed, and your feedback helps.
Your account and data
You can delete your account and everything in it from Settings in the app, or by emailing support@unrotted.com from the address on your account. Deletion is permanent. Uninstalling a browser extension also deletes any capture it hasn’t handed over yet. For what we collect and why, read the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
